New song clip – Mammalian Skin

Apart from being busy with shows, we have been writing lots of new songs for our new CD we are planning to record in July.

Enjoying the chance to spread our pale legs in the sun last week, we recorded a brief version of a new song “Mammalian Skin”, which will be featured on our new CD. Below is a taster of what is to come:

Tomorrow, morgen, i morgon, mañá, môre, jutri…

it will be Saturday March 13th, the day Goodwin Sands will be playing at café Willem Slok in Utrecht.

We’ll start at about 9 o’clock and will play two sets with a couple of new songs in it, so we’re really looking forward to it and hope to see you at Korte Koestraat 2. (free entrance!!)

We love house shows

Friday we played at a houseshow on a pretty magical evening in Utrecht with Matthew de Zoete, Peter Katz, Cone, White Days and Florian Wolff. If you’re in for some nice music, be sure to check these people out!

And with all this performing we’ve been doing lately, we made enough money to buy our first collective ‘bandpossession’; a cajon. Now we don’t have to bother other people asking them if we can borrow theirs or abuse our guitarcases to get a little rhythm into our songs.

(we’ve got new photos in “extras”)

Also, we’ve been working hard on new songs. We can’t wait to bring them to the stage, can’t wait to record, can’t wait to print a new cd, can’t wait to play some more, can’t wait for the UK-tour…simply can’t wait for it all!

Something funny for a saturday afternoon….

We would never have expected to get a mention on a punk website. However due to the recent interest in Utrecht’s This Routine Is Hell, we have had this privelege. Here is the link. We get a mention in one of the comments below the review.

The fact that it was through an English friend of ours is far from the point – Goodwin Sounds made it onto Punknews.org. Thats more than any of my previous punk bands have done, so I’m personally laughing. Cheers Alex :)
